We strive for responsible business practices and promote sustainability throughout our network. Committed to the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), we set measurable goals in areas where we can make a significant impact.
Our goals are focused on diversity, safety, reducing emissions, and fighting corruption – Clipper is an active member of the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN).

We continuously extend our knowledge about the subject by attending workgroups and networks across the industry. Diversity is so much more than equality between men and women; it is about having different perspectives represented in our decision-making.
During 2022 we carried out a human rights risk assessment to ensure that we have the proper base for making decisions that could impact human rights.
Environment & Climate
Clipper Group maintains a precautionary approach to the environment and continuously invests in intelligent shipping technology to improve our environmental and financial performance.
An essential aspect of our responsibility is to decrease our vessels’ greenhouse gas emissions. To be responsible, we have therefore established a Decarbonisation plan describing our intended pathway to net zero emissions. Read more about the Decarbonisation Strategy here.
One area in which we can have a lasting positive effect on our operational climate impact is by improving the sustainability performance of our steel-loading shipments.
We are helping the environment to find innovative solutions with recycled and reusable rubber as dunnage for the steel instead of heated wood dunnage, which must be disposed of after just one shipment – We call it Greenbars.
Anti Corruption
As an international shipping company, Clipper operates in regions where global trade exposes our vessels to corrupt and illegal practices.
Given the significant high risk of bribery and corruption, we at Clipper are acutely aware of the challenges associated with such misconduct.
Our stance is zero tolerance towards traditional bribery, and we actively collaborate with the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network to combat facilitation payments.
In 2023 we achieved a significant milestone with 100 % of our employees successfully completing our Anti-Corruption training
