Additions to dry cargo fleet

Clipper, while continuing to maintain a global position as an Operator and Pool Manager, increases its owned tonnage with two 10-yeard old 37,851 DWT sister vessels built at Jiangsu Eastern Heavy Industry Co Ltd. jard. The vessels have been acquired with financial partners andwill take name after Clipper’s head office, located in the capital of Denmark, and their office in Houston, Texas, as a way of honoring the dedicated staff.

Clipper took delivery of the vessels during this week, and Clipper Houston will immediately join the newly established Clipper Emerald Pool with Clipper Copenhagen following afterearly 2021.

“We are entering into a phase where we approach markets more offensively, benefiting from our cost-effective business platform. We will pursue growth opportunities for both our pools, the chartered fleet, and owned vessels.” says Clipper CEO Amrit Peter Kalsi.

Following these additions, Clipper Bulk operates approximately 75 owned, part-owned and long-time chartered Handysize and Supramax/Ultramax vessels, including tonnage operated by the 3 Clipper Bulk-managed pools: the Clipper Handy Pool and the Clipper Bulkhandling Pool, with the addition of the newly establish Clipper Emerald Pool.
